We are particularly skilled in working with women. Many of the women we work with have a past history of trauma and\/or abuse and are supported through our psychologically informed treatment packages.<\/p>

Within our learning disability services we work therapeutically to address issues in relation to personality disorder which often have an impact on people\u2019s behaviour that challenges, using recognised psychological behaviour techniques at a level which is appropriate to the persons understanding.<\/p>

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) is used on a modular basis including Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Mindfulness. We understand that people with a Personality Disorder have strong emotional needs and our staff are trained to focus on strengths and abilities and in providing quality and meaningful engagement. We ensure that we offer a varied activity programme which is led by the person\u2019s interests and choices and we provide a structured approach, with clear boundaries and expectations, areas important to support people with a personality disorder.<\/p>

Some of the key areas we address are; self-esteem, emotional distress, difficulties in relationships, mental health conditions, physical health problems, difficulties with self-control and impulsivity, substance misuse, suicidal behaviour and self-harm and crisis management.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
