Elysium is pleased to be hosting our first Service User led conference next month on the theme of \u2018Innovation and Technology in Mental Health\u2019.<\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

At the start of the year a conference planning committee, made up of staff and service users from across Elysium, was set up specifically for this event. The group soon agreed the conference theme and invited all service users to submit artwork to be considered for use in all marketing around the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The winner of this competition – a service user from Chadwick Lodge hospital – has been awarded a certificate and prize for his masterpiece and it is already being used as key element in all event communication and in the important \u2018call for abstracts\u2019 poster. <\/span><\/p>\n

Over 40 abstracts have been submitted by patients and staff from across the majority of Elysium\u2019s hospitals and services and the final programme will soon be announced.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had a huge response from patients and staff across Elysium regarding this conference from initial concept through to event planning and delivery on the day. The event is a true co-production from start to finish, with some fabulous patient artwork helping to launch the conference as well as some very creative submissions for conference presentations. Our programme for the event is almost final and we are looking forward to an exciting event that will stimulate discussion about Innovation and Technology in Mental Health.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe conference team has several streams which focus on different elements of the event planning and our service users are involved in every aspect. They have many ideas on how the event should be run and how we should be promoting it internally to our staff and service users \/residents.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
