Bere Clinic rated ‘good’ in all areas of CQC inspection

SPECIALIST inpatient eating disorder service Bere Clinic in Hampshire has been graded as ‘good’ in all areas in its first CQC inspection.

 

Bere Clinic, which opened in January 2022, provides a CAMHS Tier 4 eating disorder service for young people aged between 12 and 18 year who have a primary diagnosis of eating disorder.

 

Inspectors said the hospital’s “strong culture of extremely compassionate, person-centred care” was an area of ‘outstanding practice’.

 

They also praised the staff team’s compassion and kindness and said that young people and their families had shared that they “felt safe in the hospital, that their risks were safely managed, and that staff were kind, caring and understanding.”

 

Young people and their families also told inspectors that activities offered were good and that the hospital’s chefs were ‘amazing’.

 

Inspectors also noted the “caring, kind and compassionate culture among the staff throughout the hospital. Staff placed young people’s individual needs at the heart of their work.”
