We’re thrilled to announce that Elysium Neurological has been named as finalists for three gongs at the upcoming Neuro Rehab Times Awards!
Huntington’s specialist care home Stanley House is up for Care Provider of the Year and, Professor Nick Alderman, Clinical Director of Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation (NbR) Services at Elysium Healthcare, is in the running for the Inspirational Contribution Award, plus the People’s Choice Award!
Stanley House recently received the prestigious Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA) Quality Assured accreditation, making them one of only five care homes in the country to do so.
Professor Nick Alderman was nominated for his unparalleled vision and unending determination to ensure the proper integration of outcome measurements into daily clinical practice for NbR programmes over the course of an outstanding 30-year career.
This year has also seen Professor Alderman achieve more impressive milestones, such as the publication of a new book this November, Managing Challenging Behaviour Following Acquired Brain Injury, and the success of the Avalon Centre in Wiltshire with positive patient outcomes and statistical evidence.
A huge congratulations to Nick for being up for the double and all the very best to the dedicated care team over at Stanley House in Hereford.
The NR Times Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding practice, innovation and dedication from those working across the field of neuro rehab in changing the lives of patients, both now and into the future.
Deborah Johnson, editor of NR Times, said: “The quality and breadth of entries has been of the highest calibre, and putting the shortlists together was no easy task.
“Some of the shortlists have many more names on there than we initially intended – but we genuinely felt we could not discount such excellent entries at this stage, so will pass to our judging panel for their insight ahead of them choosing a winner.
“We are very excited to reveal the winners next month, but for now, congratulations to everyone who has made the shortlist. Please be very proud of your achievements and for the amazing work you are doing.”
The winners will be announced via an online ceremony on October 26th. Good luck to all the finalists!
