University student Oliver was just 22 years old when he was involved in a road traffic accident that left him with life-changing head injuries. Nine months after the accident Oliver was admitted to Badby Park, to begin a specialist neurorehabilitation programme to improve his quality of life.
Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), a group of professionals from different clinical disciplines who work together to make decisions about the recommended treatment for patients and provide their care, have been operational within Child and Young People Mental Health Services (CYPMHS), with varying degrees of success, since the late 1990s (Partridge et al,. 2010).
