“It is on Nurse’s Day that I always think about why I became a Nurse 21 years ago. How I can continue to inspire and develop my Nurses and future Nurses to work in a field that I have become passionate about, Neuropsychiatry.”

To celebrate International Nurses’ Day, Chadwick Lodge will be asking for nominations from staff and Service Users for five different awards;

Nurse of the year, Most engaging Nurse, Going above and beyond, Most cheerful Nurse and Most approachable Nurse.

“The best thing about my job is seeing a patient’s happiness when they have had a positive experience or have accomplished one of their goals. It makes me feel proud to be part of the team at Bromley Road and I get great satisfaction from my job knowing that we are supporting our patients to succeed in their recovery journey.”

“The whole team is really excited about international nurses day and we will be holding a special lunch for all staff and patients in the dining room at Phoenix House with lots of cakes and treats as well as fruit and healthy options.”

“At the moment I’m working on a transition for one of my Service Users who has been with us nearly five years and helping him to move into the community with more independence, which is something I never thought we would see! It will be a lengthy transition but I’m really excited to see him move on into his own house!”
