Fairmead House

Fairmead House is a specialist step down service for all gender identities who have a learning disability, who are autistic, and who may also have a secondary diagnosis of a complex condition such as a mental health issue, and behaviour that may be of concern/distress. We are also able to support individuals with a forensic history.

Fairmead House is a residential service which embraces and balances the management of risk with comfort, homeliness, dignity, respect and choice.  The aim of the service is to encourage individuals to lead a full and purposeful life, enabling them to live more independently in the heart of the community. This is achieved through a programme of active community engagement, that promotes meaningful social networks and the development of bespoke coping strategies.

  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • bespoke governance system with an emphasis on safeguarding
  • Community engagement, leisure and vocational opportunities ensuring residents are able to access all the facilities and resources they wish to, whilst keeping safe and having choice and control
