Laura brings over 20 years of nursing experience, with a dedicated focus on neurological care since 2010. Her career includes senior clinical and leadership roles such as Ward Manager of a Level 1 Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, Matron within a specialist brain injury service, and leader of a large Specialist Nursing Home in London. Since May 2025, Laura has served as the Registered Manager at the Jacobs Neurological Centre. In this role, she oversees Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated activities, ensuring care delivery meets the highest standards of safety, effectiveness, and compassion. Laura is passionate about person-centred care for individuals with complex neurological needs. Her leadership is grounded in strong governance, regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and quality assurance, ensuring every individual receives care that is not only effective but dignified and compassionate.

Charles Nwamu

Head of Clinical Services

Charles is a highly experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years in the profession, having begun his career within the NHS. His extensive clinical background spans diverse settings, including adult mental health, forensic services, learning disabilities, care homes, and neurological services. Throughout his career, Charles has held a variety of roles - from Registered Staff Nurse and Locum Agency Nurse to Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Ward Manager, Interim Care Centre Director, and now Head of Clinical Services. These positions have strengthened his leadership skills, clinical expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality care. Charles is recognised for his motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and dedication to providing consistent, person-centred, and evidence-based care. He is a passionate advocate for staff development, actively mentoring junior team members to support their growth and progression. His leadership ensures that services maintain safe, effective, and compassionate care for all residents.

Andy Page

Therapy Manager

Andy is a highly experienced Physiotherapist with over 40 years in the profession. He began his career in the NHS, where he spent 17 years specialising in Musculoskeletal (MSK) care. In 2021, Andy joined the Jacobs Centre, bringing a strong focus on Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and neurorehabilitation. Andy is passionate about supporting residents with neurological conditions through personalised care planning and goal setting to enhance quality of life and independence. In 2005, he became Therapy Manager, providing leadership to the therapy team and oversight of complex respiratory management for residents with ventilation needs, tracheostomies, and other respiratory challenges. He has a particular interest in spasticity management and plays a key role in training and mentoring therapy staff, ensuring best practices in care delivery. Andy’s expertise and guidance extend to the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), making him an invaluable resource in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
