Ginette Fraher-Vernon

Hospital Director

Ginette Fraher-Vernon qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in October 2009. She started her career within healthcare as a Bank Healthcare Assistant and worked within several different wards at St Andrews Healthcare. Ginette has vast experience and knowledge within Neurological, Adolescent, Adult Mental Health, and LD/ASD settings. She worked her way to Staff Nurse, before then progressing through to the Ward Manager overseeing several different wards within the hospital. Each of the wards provided a unique clinical service, working with people’s varying levels of acuity and dependency. Whilst being within a management role, In September 2017 Ginette joined Elysium Healthcare. She was appointed the role of Hospital Director at St Neots Neurological Centre, before moving to the Potters Bar Clinic as the Hospital Director overseeing CAMHS and Acute Adult services. Ginette was the seconded to a special Projects Director Role within the organisation in March 2020, before returning to St Neots as the Hospital Director in February 2023. Ginette is a highly efficient and motivated leader with a consistent track record for ensuring consistent delivery of high quality, person centred and evidence-based care. Ginette is dedicated to ensuring that care delivery supports a positive patient experience that supports patient outcomes and meets the needs of key stakeholders.

Robert Purkis

Ward Manager

Rob has worked in Neurological services since qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse at DMU Leicester in 2011. Has experience volunteering as a first responder in the community supporting the ambulance service responding to medical emergencies. Joined Elysium Heath Care St Neots in 2018 as a Charge Nurse and is currently Ward Manager for the male services.

Ward Manager

Crystal is a dedicated Ward Manager who finds deep fulfilment in leading and developing her team, providing patient care, and navigating daily challenges. She enjoys seeing her team thrive, implementing positive changes and daily problem-solving. Working within a Multidisciplinary Team motivates Crystal, as it allows her to contribute to comprehensive, individualised care for patients. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is coaching junior staff, and watching them grow in their roles, contributing to their professional development. Crystal is passionate about fostering and collaborating to build a strong team. She believes in building camaraderie among ward staff and creating an environment where everyone feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Janet Bakht

Senior Social Worker

Janet is an experienced Senior Social Worker who qualified in July 2003. She started her career at Kneesworth House Hospital MSU, what was then PIC, which she worked for 17 years as a Forensic Social Worker across all levels of security, including acute, medium secure, low secure, and rehab mental health services. She has extensive experience of working in medium secure services and with service users with chronic mental health conditions. Her interests include carer and service user involvement, and she has co-ordinated co-production projects as well as facilitating extensive Friends and Family Forums. In June 2020, she made the transition to Neurological services becoming the first Social Worker in post at St Neots and is the safeguarding lead for the site. Her responsibilities include patient and carer involvement and facilitation of patient discharge planning and oversight of legal frameworks.

Anand Annamalai

Therapy Lead

Anand joined Elysium Healthcare as in January 2024 as a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with over 18 years of experience. Anand also serves as a Journal and Research Paper Reviewer for the World Federation of Occupational Therapy Conferences and as a Lecturer on an associate contract at the University of Northampton. As the Therapy Lead for St Neots, Anand will provide leadership and support to the established Therapy Team, as well as providing a wealth of experience and expertise to the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to support service users at the heart of Elysium.
