Asher House
A specialist community-based service for men and women who have a learning disability or those with autism.
Asher House is part of our learning disability and autism division and is a registered care service with nursing, which embraces and balances the management of risk with comfort, homeliness, dignity, respect, and choice. The service is for individuals with a learning disability, people who have autism or those with sensory and communication impairments. We are specialists in working with complex needs and behaviours which challenge services.





More information about Asher House
The unique building design at Asher House provides six bespoke single person apartments and communal spaces including, lounges, dining room and laundry. Each apartment has its own lounge / diner and bedroom with ensuite wet room. There is also an enclosed shared garden for individuals to enjoy.
Person-centred care incorporates the following elements:
- Individual tailored support
- Strengths based approach
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Staff trained in responding to behaviours seen as challenging
- Access to meaningful and stimulating activity, including vocational and educational opportunities
- Development of independent living skills and community engagement
- A strong emphasis on safeguarding
- Access to independent advocacy
- Strong multi-agency and family partnerships to ensure a holistic package of care and pathway
